Mothers Of Preschoolers:  Support and Connection for Moms

MOPS-logoMOPS International is an organization cultivating communities of moms because we believe moms are world influencers.  We believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because hugs can change the course of history.  That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood.  MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying alongside one another. MOPS groups meet regularly to celebrate the joys of motherhood and to encourage each other through the challenges. Find a MOPS Group.

Marriage Help For Moms:  Love & Respect

pABsJBttwOPAiZkuuPnK0-YeghBGFV8YgZ2CyZT59tQWhat is Love and Respect?  We asked 7,000 people this question: when you are in a conflict with your spouse or significant other, do you feel unloved or disrespected?  83% of the men said “disrespected.”  72% of the women said, “unloved.”  Though we all need love and respect equally, the felt need differs during conflict, and this difference is as different as pink is from blue!  Love & Respect is here to help you work out differences in your marriage.  Visit Love & Respect to learn MORE from relationship expert Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, life-changing conferences & materials to rescue your marriage.

Moms Who Are Homeless:  A Home At Champa House

Homeless Moms Champa HouseThe Denver Rescue Mission Champa House assists women and their dependent children caught in the cycle of poverty and homelessness.  Pre-screened program participants participate in the New Life Program, a five-phase program integrating academics, vocational training, Bible study, counseling, and family development. This long-term program, which lasts from 12 to 27 months, includes personal life skills training classes in budgeting, nutrition, parenting, relational issues, and job readiness.  Upon graduating from the program, each woman has accumulated a savings account that she will use to become self-sufficient. For kids, Champa House offers a structured childcare program, tutoring, children and family therapy, and a mentoring program. All of these services work together to provide a safe, educational and nurturing environment in which the children can learn and grow.  ChannelMom annually awards Grants to moms graduating from Champa House!

Prison Outreach: Wings For LIFE International

Wings for LIFE

Now serving prisoners and their families in 20 states… “Transforming lives to break the generational cycle of incarceration.”

Did you know that 7 out of 10 kids whose parents serve time in prison end up going to prison themselves? Wings springs from the passion of caring Christians and the deep concern we have to minister to families of prisoners who have been largely shunned or ignored by our society.  In our society, where children are all at risk in one way or another, children whose parent(s) are in prison face even more challenges.

Help Is A Phone Call Away: ChannelMom Hotline For Moms

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: We at ChannelMom Media & Outreach are working to bring you a national hotline for moms.  This hotline can provide moms with help that’s “a phone call away.”  We plan to provide trained phone friends, available for conversation and referrals. Moms will find a listening ear and a friendly heart… with whom they can confidentially share their struggles.  Sometimes moms need a “safe place,” where they can remain anonymous, in order to share particular struggles they may not want to admit to friends or family.  We plan to announce the launch of ChannelMom Hotline For Moms soon!

You can become a ChannelMom Partner to support moms through media & on the ground! We aim to love, coach and encourage moms & families through media and outreach in order to share the love of God.
